Music Player, Blogs, Interviews, Music Video's & Images

Jazz Matters is a not-for-profit project that I’m extremely proud of. Jazz Matters started life in May 2021 as NuDirections, a weekly radio show on a London community radio station.
Since then, Jazz Matters has evoled though many phases and grown into a significant global podcast platform for Jazz and World music lovers, reaching over 40,000+ open-minded listeners across 57 countries, on more than 24+ patforms.
2025 is a year of big changes at Jazz Matters. I'm creating a brand-new studio and preparing for a full digital relaunch on 1st January 2026.
From then, every Jazz Matters podcast, mix and special will stream exclusively from this website,  no third-party platforms.
So from Febuary 1st, 2026, you can listen to music, read my blogs, watch music videos and explore all in one place.

A New location. New music player. New studio. A bold new chapter will begin on 1st Febuary 2026.

Jazz Matters. Because the music, and everything around it, truly does.

Enjoy The Music I Love

Ray (AKA My Cousin Ray)

My new Jazz Matters music player is still under construction. But it’s already streaming great sounds.

A New Chapter Begins: Jazz Matters Blog Reimagined After the early days of blogging, and learning hard-earned lessons, I’ve relaunched with renewed purpose. This is a vibrant, evolving space dedicated to the sounds and stories of Jazz and World Music. From influential record labels and rising voices to rare grooves and global rhythms, it’s a living archive of what inspires me. Expect thoughtful writing, overlooked gems, and reflections that speak to the soul of the music.
